3/8" Galvanized Loose Hog Rings - 15 Gauge - Blunt Tip
3/8" Galvanized Loose Hog Rings - Lighter 15G Gauge - Blunt Tip Approximately 850 pieces per pound, or 21,250 pieces per case The cost-effective ring for work that stays out of the water. Zinc-coated carbon steel drawn from 15-gauge wire, so you get less bulk in the crimp, less hand effort to close, and more rings per pound than a 14-gauge ring. That makes the 15G the right pick for lighter materials, finer mesh, and high-count production runs where a heavier ring is more than the job needs. The blunt tip closes clean without tearing fabric or cutting your hands. Used for netting and mesh attachment, bag and sausage casing closure, auto and furniture upholstery, bungee and shock cord loops, cage and light wire repair, and silt fence. Galvanized or stainless — which one? Galvanized holds up outdoors and through splash and spray, but the zinc wears off under constant saltwater contact. Anything that lives in the water — oyster gear, lobster and crab traps, marine bungee — should be 304 stainless. Above the waterline, galvanized does the same job for less.
