This saree is a butter-soft, lightweight Mulberry silk handwoven in Bengal. A laborious wax-resist Batik is done by hand on the saree using azo-free dyes. The saree has a beautiful black body with a broad lower border with a bunch of colourful stripes in dark blue-grey, orange and golden yellow. The pallu has an off-white base with geometric shapes in the same colours. Makes the perfect choice for a long work day, an evening soiree or a dinner gathering.
