Antique Edwardian silver plated spirit kettle on a matching stand. The kettle is designed in the Queen Anne style, and has an oval demi-ribbed body raised on reeded stand with claw feet, outfitted with securing pins and chains. This design allows the kettle to safely tilt forward to pour hot water without being completely removed from its frame. The kettle can also be removed from the base by removing the securing pins on both sides. The handle is most likely ebonised wood to shield the server's hands from the heat, and the matching finial is slightly chipped at the bottom. The underside has the markings EPNS and MW&W, which means it was made by Marples, Wingfield & Wilkins operated out of Sheffield. Made in the early 1900s, England. Along with the stand, it is 13.5 inches in height, 9.4 inches at its widest, 6.2 inches in depth and 950 grams in weight.
