Quelfire QWR160 Intumescent Fire Collar 160mm

The Quelfire QWR160 is an intumescent fire collar for plastic pipe and round plastic duct with a 160mm outside diameter. Please check your pipe size before ordering: this collar is made for 160mm pipe and will not seal correctly on 150mm duct.A pressed stainless steel shell holds a graphite-based intumescent liner. In a fire the liner expands, crushes the softening pipe and seals the opening with a hard char, giving up to 240 minutes (EI 240) fire resistance in tested configurations. Built-in lugs fix it to the wall, floor or ceiling, and it can be retrofitted around existing pipework.For a vertical pipe, fit one collar to the underside of the floor. For a pipe through a wall, fit one collar on each side. Tested to BS EN 1366-3 and classified to EN 13501-2.
