Spitfire Cloud

Purpose-built for immersive cinema Modern immersive soundtracks rely on precise overhead localisation. Yet many traditional ceiling loudspeakers disperse sound broadly throughout the room, reducing object definition and spatial accuracy. The Spitfire Cloud has been developed specifically to solve this challenge. Rather than employing a conventional coaxial design, the loudspeaker uses four high-performance 3-inch long-throw drivers alongside dual Artcoustic ring-radiator high-frequency units mounted on an angled acoustic baffle. The result is a carefully controlled coverage pattern of approximately 90° horizontally by 45° vertically, directing acoustic energy towards the listening area instead of the surrounding ceiling. This controlled directivity delivers significantly improved Atmos object localisation, greater spatial precision, enhanced dialogue intelligibility and a remarkably consistent listening experience across multiple seating positions. Designed to integrate seamlessly with the wider Spitfire ecosystem, the Cloud maintains tonal consistency with Artcoustic screen and surround loudspeakers, creating a highly coherent immersive sound field capable of reference-level performance.
