Volkswagen Golf Mk7 EA288 I4 1.6L TDI Crankshaft – OE 04L105021B

OverviewReplacement EA288 I4 1.6L TDI crankshaft for Volkswagen Golf Mk7 applications, referenced against OE 04L105021B. Built as a service part for engine overhaul, it replaces a worn or damaged original crankshaft rather than modifying the existing one.Engine application Engine code: EA288 I4 1.6L TDI Listed for: Volkswagen Golf Mk7 OE references: 04L105021B How this part failsBecause the crankshaft sits at the centre of the rotating assembly, wear shows up as noise and pressure loss rather than a sudden failure. A knocking bottom end, oil pressure that falls away when hot, glitter in the drain oil or a crank that no longer turns freely all point to journal damage. Once a journal is scored or oval, grinding undersize is the only repair and a replacement crank is often the simpler route.Specifications Engine code EA288 I4 1.6L TDI Listed applications Volkswagen Golf Mk7 OE / cross-reference numbers 04L105021B Supplier part number WS-440 Warranty (as stated) 1 Year Condition New Minimum order 1 piece Fitment checks before orderingVerify fitment by engine code and OE number, not by model year or capacity.
