The Curse of Saltash Mine

You've lived in the sleepy seaside village of Baileytown your whole life. Under the watchful eye of your grandad Dagris Screbin you've picked up tricks from the local fishermen and heard tales of wonder from passing merchants, yet here you've stayed, happily watching the tide come and go.Now it's time to leave home and see some of those wonders for yourself. Dagris's old friend Alf Blomwell has sent word from the far-off swamp town of Hatcheria: something is amiss, something that could threaten all of Brighthelm. An ancient evil has awoken. Or has it? Dagris reckons Alf has been going slowly senile for years (and he was pretty odd to begin with), but he isn't taking any chances, so he's sending you, his best adventurer, across lands unknown to find out what has panicked the old man.The Curse of Saltash Mine is a stand-alone adventure gamebook in which you are the hero. Armed with a pencil, an eraser and a die, you decide which paths to take and which dangers to risk as you travel through the same world as Paupers' Ladder. This Special Edition adds difficulty settings and an achievements list to the original adventure, plus Cult of the Canary, a brand new story set in Brighthelm's distant past.
