Long Expected Christmas (CD)

Five-time Grammy-nominated and eight-time Dove Award-winning artist Brandon Heath delivers a standout holiday album that blends festive joy with sacred wonder. Long Expected Christmas is a 13-track collection of original Christmas songs and reimagined classics, perfect for radio, streaming playlists, and family listening. The title track reimagines the beloved hymn “Come, Thou Long Expected Jesus” in a vibrant 1960s Motown style, featuring Francesca Battistelli. Standout originals include the upbeat, horn-driven “Delivery Man,” the powerful anthem “God Made a Way” (feat. Tasha Layton), “We Need Emmanuel,” and the fun “Downtown Christmas Tree Farm.” Additional guests include Rachael Lampa and Rachel Purcell, with a sweet appearance by Heath’s young daughter. The album also features fresh takes on “Joy (To The World)” and “O Holy Night.” With bold arrangements, warm storytelling, and a balance of swingin’ celebration and reflective moments, Long Expected Christmas offers meaningful Christmas music that stands out from typical holiday fare. 1.
