Orchiata Super 35 Litre [18-25mm]

Orchiata is a premium grade bark made from sustainably sourced New Zealand Pinus radiata, and is one of my go-to ingredients for making a nice chunky, airy potting mix. This is the exact size bark I use in my own mixes here at Elusive Plants! The chunky, consistent pieces help create plenty of airflow around the roots while allowing excess water to drain freely, making it perfect for aroids, orchids and other plants that don't like sitting in dense, soggy media. Orchiata is aged and carefully graded to create a clean, consistent product that lasts well without breaking down too quickly. It has a naturally slightly acidic pH of around 5.5–6.5 and can be used on its own for suitable plants or mixed with ingredients like perlite, coco chips and potting mix to create your own chunky blend. If you're wanting to recreate the kind of chunky mix I use here at Elusive, this is the exact bark size I reach for.
