Mason Storm – Monkey Parliament – Stowe Editions Mini Print (2025) – Banksy Interest

Mason Storm’s Monkey Parliament is a highly detailed interpretation of one of the most recognisable images associated with contemporary British street art. Released by Stowe Editions in 2025 as part of its Mini Prints series, the work depicts the House of Commons populated entirely by chimpanzees – a composition immediately associated with Banksy’s celebrated painting Devolved Parliament. Banksy first presented the parliamentary scene during his landmark Banksy vs Bristol Museum exhibition in 2009. The large-scale original would later become known as Devolved Parliament and went on to become one of the artist’s best-known political works. Mason Storm’s relationship with the image has long generated interest within the urban art world. For a number of years there has been speculation that Storm may have been involved in the execution of Banksy’s original painting, largely due to the exceptionally detailed, painterly nature of the work and Storm’s subsequent exploration of the same composition through his own paintings and print editions.
