Winter Foliage Watercolor Workshop | December 6th @ Martha Mae Studio

Join artist and Martha Mae: Art Supplies & Beautiful Things founder, Jean Cate, for an in-person watercolor workshop at the Martha Mae Studio in Chicago, IL on Sunday, December 6th from 10AM-12PM. Explore the world of watercolors with Jean as she guides you through the exploration of still life painting. Jean will teach a range of watercolor techniques, both for beginning painters and seasoned artists. Our models for the morning will be a bountiful selection of winter branches and foliage. As we gather around our communal table, choose the pieces that most speak to you. Paint beautiful illustrations to gift this holiday season. Each guest will receive 5 100% recycled cotton watercolor paper sheets made in India, as well as 5 elegant pure cotton envelopes and A5 letter writing sheets from Belgium. The idea is that you can also include a letter with each painting to gift to your friends and loved ones. All necessary materials will be provided for your painting session, but feel free to bring your favorite art supplies if you have them. Additionally, explore the curated selection of Martha Mae favorites available for purchase in the studio to enhance your creative toolkit. Tickets include the watercolor workshop, paintings/envelopes/letter sheets, pastries, coffee and/or tea. Watercolor palettes not included to take home, but are available for purchase post-event. This workshop is open to beginners or seasoned painters! Please note that this is an in-person event at the Martha Mae Studio (1727 W Grand Ave, Chicago, IL 60622 above The Center of Order and Experimentation) on December 6th from 10am-12pm. The studio is located on the second floor with only stairs available. We can't wait to see you there! * Tickets are non-refundable, but can be transferred to another guest.
