Art Print – “Ramadoota”: Lord Hanuman with Rama and Sita in His Heart

Provenance Ramadoota presents Lord Hanuman standing before a vast white flower, set within a deep navy field and cream border inscribed in Devanagari. His name, 'Hanuman', appears at the top, and beneath the image runs the salutation 'Shri Hanumate Namah'. Hanuman raises his right hand in blessing, the name 'Ram' inscribed on his palm, and holds his golden mace, his tail curving above his shoulder. At his chest appear the images of Rama and Sita, a familiar emblem of his devotion. He wears a jewelled crown, pearl and emerald necklaces, a red shawl and an orange and green dhoti edged in gold. The ivory petals of the flower, with pale-gold stamens radiating outward, open behind him like a halo, while saffron, red, emerald and gold give the figure warmth and strength. The frontal pose, crisp outlines and balanced composition lend the print a steady, protective presence.
