Mäkisen Kuvastin Wall Mirror (White)

Mäkisen Kuvastin wall mirror in a white wooden frame. A clean and understated vintage mirror with a narrow white border made in Finland in the 1980s. The minimal frame keeps the design light and versatile, making it easy to combine with both modern and vintage interiors. A simple Finnish design piece that works well as a hallway mirror or above a console as it can be mounted vertically or horizontally. The mirror is in good vintage condition as can be seen in the pictures. Mäkisen Kuvastin was a Finnish mirror manufacturer founded in 1923. The company grew into one of Finland’s leading mirror producers and exported its designs throughout Scandinavia and Europe. From the 1960s onwards, Mäkisen Kuvastin produced a wide range of domestic mirrors, from colourful framed designs to more restrained modernist forms, and also supplied mirrors to IKEA.
