Catalina Currant, Ribes viburnifolium

Catalina Currant is an evergreen shrub with aromatic, dark green leaves. Small clusters of rose pink flowers bloom in late winter to mid spring, followed by small red fruits later in the spring. This shrub has an open wide-spreading form, growing 3-4 ft tall and spreading to 6 ft wide. Can grow in part shade and is adapatable to various soil typees. Plant yields small red fruits later in the spring that sttract birds. Favorite to a host of butterflies and moths.
