Rough Garnet Earrings, Made for Vered

Three weeks after the Rough Garnet Ring was finished, I sent a second piece of Vered's Austrian garnet to be sawn, this time into two halves. Cut from the same rough, they came back close enough to make a pair, and each one kept its own edges. Each half is held in a brushed gold frame that follows its outline, drawn around the contour of that particular stone rather than a standard shape. A loop on the frame hooks onto a small gold nugget with a diamond at its center, the same nugget that tops our Requiem studs, so the stone hangs and swings below it. Made in 14K yellow gold.
