With its brilliant indigo blooms wreathing the plant first at the start of summer, and then again at the start of autumn, 'Lindsay' is one of the most captivating clematis varieties available to gardeners, today. Reaching an ultimate height of just over one metre, this cultivar is the perfect pick for growing on a sunny patio or balcony. Twine it up an obelisk or grow it through a sturdy host plant (such as a shrub rose). The large blooms, measuring up to 15cm across, clothe pretty much the entire plant and are brought into even sharper focus thanks to the fuchsia-tipped anthers found at their centre.
