Steel Valve Cover – Fits 1964–1988 AMC Jeep 199-232-258 Inline-6 – 3-Hole – Black Finish Product Description Black steel valve cover for 1964–1988 AMC and Jeep inline-six engines, including 199, 232, and 258 CID. Features an OEM-style short height (3-1/2") with a smooth, no-logo top for a clean, factory-style appearance. Constructed from stamped steel with two 1.25" push-in breather holes on top and an additional side PCV provision for proper crankcase ventilation routing. The side hole is commonly used for a PCV tube connection to the air cleaner or carburetor. If your application does not require this connection, a plug grommet can be sourced from most local auto parts stores to seal the opening. Internal baffling helps improve crankcase ventilation and reduce oil splash. Sold as a single valve cover. Please note: this valve cover is not compatible with engines originally equipped with plastic valve covers.
