Unseasoned Hardwood Logs

Our unseasoned hardwood logs are freshly cut green firewood, delivered split for home seasoning. These logs have a high moisture content and are not for immediate burning in open fires, wood-burners or multi-fuel stoves. They’re a cost-effective firewood choice if you have space to air-dry wood for 12 to 24 months until they reach seasoned status. UK regulations require unseasoned wood to be sold with a notice that it is not for immediate use. You must store these logs in a well-ventilated, dry area until the moisture content reaches 20% or less. Our delivery lorries are fitted with sections measuring 1.2 and 2.4³ and are loosely loaded in what we call a ‘thrown load’. We’ll deliver your unseasoned logs loose outside your home – please make sure you have space available, and if the weather is wet, leave a cover out so we can keep your firewood as dry as possible.
