Piemonte is known for making whites form Arneis but the tiny production of Chardonnay is a well prized secret. Marco Dogliotti has just one hectare of Chardonnay in this premium Italian region. This is a beautiful wine bursting with personality. It has just a touch of oak but plenty of soft, concentrated flavour. It is a richer, rounder style showing that Italy can give France a run for its money with Chardonnay!
