1456 KNHP 3 Miners Travel Mug, Black with marbling

Hand crafted 12-14 oz travel mug in black with coral marbling. This travel mug features Commissioned Artist Kasey Koski's "Three walking miners" design. This design was one of several used to "return the presence of people back into the landscape." The sculptures have been placed on historic landscapes within Keweenaw National Historical Park. Of the three miners, only one isn't in silhouette; this is a representation of 3 brothers, 2 of which were lost in mine accidents and only 1 surviving. Made by Deneen Pottery in Minnesota.
