Game Gear was the first portable game console in Sega's history. It was loved by gamers all of the world as a pioneering colour LCD mobile hardware. To commemorate its 30th anniversary, Sega launched these 4 mini Game Gear consoles. Hardware The Game Gear Micro is designed to resemble the original Game Gear model at 40% of its original size, measuring at 80mm width x 43mm height x 20mm depth with a 1.15-inch screen, albeit with the buttons enlarged. The system uses two AAA batteries for power, although a micro USB B cable can also be used as a power supply. Much like the original system, the Game Gear Micro comes in a selection of four colours: black, blue, yellow and red. Four games are included with each system. The real reason to own the full set is the game library. Each colour comes pre-loaded with four games — Black has Sonic the Hedgehog, Puyo Puyo 2, Out Run, and Royal Stone; Blue has Sonic & Tails, Gunstar Heroes, Sylvan Tale, and Baku Baku Animal; Yellow carries the Nazo Puyo and Shining Force Gaiden titles, and Red rounds it out with the GG Shinobi, Columns, and the two Megami Tensei Gaiden games.
