Nero d'Avola is a native Sicilian grape variety, a key player in the rediscovery of Sicilian wine worldwide starting from the 1980s and 1990s. The Baglio Diar bottle produced in Mazara del Vallo offers a fresher and more original version to taste this grape in its pure form. Grapes: 100% Nero d'Avola Designation: D.O.C. Sicilia Harvest: Harvested during the nights of the first ten days of September. Vinification: After a particularly gentle pressing of the grapes, fermentation takes place over 12 days at a controlled temperature of 15°C. Aging: The wine then matures in steel tanks for 3 months. Bottle aging for at least 1 month. Alcohol content: 12% Serving temperature: 8°C Pairings: Pairs well with spicy main courses and tomato sauces. Try it with raw shrimp and gourmet exotic fruit salads. Appearance: pale pink color Nose: enveloping aromas of fresh fruit like strawberry and mango with hints of mint and pink pepper Palate: lively acidity, light body, and delicate tannins. On the palate, notes of sour cherry, pomegranate, and fennel are perceived, leaving a pleasant freshness in the mouth.
