Antique Georgian Period Sterling Silver Tea Caddy Spoon in the fiddle pattern with an egg shaped, dropped bowl and monogram engraved handle terminal featuring the letters 'MP' in a scrolled font, in undamaged condition the spoon makes for a fine example of the period measuring 8.7 cm in length with a bowl dimension of 4.4 cm x 3.6 cm x 5 mm, the reverse to the handle of the spoon is impressed with good clear markings indicating London assay office circa 1826 with the makers mark for William Schofield, a noted spoon maker from c1820 through to c1833. weight : 12.1 grams
