On a recent visit to Bath, we fell for the beautiful store Berdoulat. With its dreamy shop interior and beautifully edited products, it left us wanting more, so when we discovered they had just released a book we knew we had to stock it. Their shop with stunning living quarters out back, is a veritable feast for the eyes. Enjoy escaping down a rabbit hole with a coffee and this book. This edition, with a foreword by Nigel Slater, tells the story of how the design firm Berdoulat came to be, from early memories of founder Patrick Williams’s childhood home of the same name, where he “caught the bug” for working on period buildings, through to the foundation of the principles and beliefs which inform his contemporary practice. Stunning photography by Andrew Montgomery showcases recent (including unseen) work, organised by theme as opposed to project. Published by Quadrille
