Himalayan Mountain Green In Meghalaya's Ri Bhoi Hills, Marbah Warjri runs Denmar Teas — a garden his grandfather started in 1996, growing under gooseberry shade. No pesticides. Roughly 3 tons per year from 5 hectares. The green tea is delicate, naturally sweet, with a floral brightness that shade-growing and elevation bring together. Roasted Alishan Oolong At 1,400 meters in Taiwan's Alishan range, Lin Liang-Chih and Guo Chun-mei have farmed their Shizhuo estate since 1985. Three decades of craft, no middlemen. The same terroir that produces their floral oolong gets a second expression here: slow-baked over low heat until the leaf turns toasty, buttery, caramel-deep. Darjeeling Orange Pekoe Okayti Estate sits at the highest reaches of Darjeeling tea country — 4,000 to 6,200 feet, in the foothills of Kanchenjunga. Founded 1856. General Manager Pankaj Chaudhary has spent 29 years understanding how this mountain shapes the leaf. Orange Pekoe is Okayti's most approachable expression — forgiving to brew, carrying the full weight of elevation and hand-picking. Muscatel sweetness, malt depth, a clean finish.
