It came out maleficent. A dark French roast — bittersweet chocolate, toasty, with cocoa and toasted nuts — and a slow, heavy finish that keeps its grudge long after the cup runs dry. These beans never touched the Source. They came off a reflection — the Thirteenth, the shard the Flood of Darkness swallowed whole, harvested by Voidsent who don't sleep and don't forgive.
