The May Flower Kit

To celebrate Summer arriving, in this Flower Kit, you'll find seeds for five beautiful flowers that will form the cornerstone of your cut flower patch. Please note: all should be sown during May or early June to flower this year. China Aster: Not to be confused with the daisy-like Asters, these are tall and have a peony-like ruffled flower. This variety is a a mix of pinks, blues and whites and will bloom all the way through to the first frosts. Calendula: Bright orange double flowers - these are great for jam jar posies and will vigourously self-seed. Zinnia: These easy-to-grow gorgeous rosy lavender flowers on long sturdy stems will bring real elegance to your posies. Strawflower: Also known as Paper Daisies or Everlasting Flowers these bright pink flowers can be used both fresh in posies and really come into their own as dried flowers that can extend your floral giving into the Autumn and Winter. Nicotiana : Also known as Ornamental Tobacco, these tube-like flowers in red, pink, purple and white have a wonderful scent. You can start these off in seed trays on your kitchen windowsill, or direct sow straight into the ground to fill your borders and cutting patch. All come with simple instructions.
