They are also know by the trade name “Merelani Mint Garnet”. They are some of the brightest and clearest garnets that have ever been found. The quantity of this find was small, and the gem market bought up everything in less than a year. The only stones currently on the market are old stock and resale. The rough was excessively difficult to obtain, so re-cutting was the easiest option. This stone features a brilliant mint green color that is absolutely eye catching. The stone has excellent clarity and is looks phenomenal in hand. The stone is just begging to be set into jewelry and would look amazing in a ring setting with Diamond accents.
