Hi there, I’m Lady 💛 I’m about 7 months old and already a big girl at around 75 pounds—and I’m still growing into myself! My parents are in their 80s, and as I grew, they realized I was just getting a little too big for them to safely keep up with. I’ve lived with them my whole life on a farm, where I learned how to hang out with chickens and other animals like a pro. The good news? I come with lots of great manners already! I’m housebroken, crate trained, and I ride really well in the car. My foster mom says I’m doing a spectacular job learning how to be a “suburb girlie,” and I’m pretty proud of that. I LOVE other dogs! I can be a little submissive at first, but that just makes meeting new friends easy. I’ve also met cats and think they’re pretty great—I just might need a little help remembering they don’t always want to play like I do. Being outside is my love language, but being close to my humans is even better. I’m happiest when I’ve got a stuffy toy to carry around or a good bone to chew on. I’m still a growing girl and could stand to lose a few puppy pounds as I fill out. I think kids are fun, but since I’m a big, happy girl, I might accidentally bump into tiny humans if I get too excited. I’m working really hard on my manners—especially keeping all four paws on the floor—and my foster mom says I’m already getting the hang of it! Since I’m still a baby, I hang out in my crate when my humans are away, but I’m getting close to not needing it anymore. I just need a family who will keep teaching me, stay consistent, and love me as I keep learning. I’m goofy, incredibly sweet, and a little dopey in the best way—maybe with a hint of longer hair, but definitely full of labby charm.
