Vintage "5-2-46" 14K white gold wedding band or stacking ring

A 1940s 14K white gold wedding band from Lambert Bros., NY, NY. The band features a simple coin-edge pattern and is engraved inside for the couple and their wedding date, May 2nd, 1946. This couple was married shortly after the end of WWII and it is likely that one of both of them contributed to the war effort, either at home or abroad.
