2022 Chateau d'Or et de Gueules Costieres de Nimes La Bolida Rouge

Diane Puymorin’s La Bolida is revered as a special wine here at TWH. If you asked a staffer what they would want to put a few bottles of in their cellar and open on a special occasion, this would be a top answer. There is a profound depth of dark fruit, licorice, spice and earth, all smoothed out by time in barrel, then tank, and a dollop of Grenache. All of that, especially with some more time in bottle, gives this wine that full but supple mouthfeel that makes you think you could be drinking a $100 bottle. 90% Mourvedre, 10% Grenache.
