2022 Domaine Anne et Hervé Sigaut Chambolle Musigny Les Chatelots, Premier Cru1 x 6 (in bond)
Since 1990, Anne and Hervé have been committed to cultivating their 7-hectare vineyard with organic practices and minimal intervention in the winery, resulting in exceptional wines and high praise from experts and critics alike. Their Domaine Anne et Hervé Sigaut Chambolle Musigny Les Chatelots, sourced from 45-year-old vines next to the 1er Cru Charmes, grown in very calcareous soil with minimal topsoil, allowing the vines to dig deep though the mother-rock. The wine is aged in 30% new oak barrels. The 2022 Les Châtelots opens with lifted aromas of red cherry, raspberry, and violet, with subtle spice and a hint of forest floor adding depth. On the palate it’s elegant and precise, with silky, fine-grained tannins carrying bright red fruit, gentle floral notes, and a touch of minerality. Fresh acidity gives the wine energy and drive, keeping it balanced and focused. The finish is long, refined, and persistent, with lingering cherry, a soft floral lift, and delicate spice. Approachable with air, yet structured to evolve beautifully over the next 8–12 years.
