A deliciously smooth and supple red from this often overlooked region to the east of Bordeaux. Made from a blend of Merlot (70%) and Malbec (30%), its packed with plump cherry and currant fruit with hints of liquorice and spice and silky, mellow tannins. 2020 - 13.5% abv ORGANIC The vines of Chateau Vari were repurchased in 1994 by Yann Jestin, an oenologist, who immediately launched a reorganisation process of the vineyard in order to optimise the wine potentialities of the soil: progressive replanting with high density, increase in the leaf area, severe pruning of the vine, work in green, work of the ground. The estate covers 22 hectares, 20 hectares of which are currently in full production. Monbazillac AOC has an area of 13 hectares, including 6.5 hectares for the red vines, while half a hectare is intended for the production of dry white. The grounds are clayey, on limestone outcropping in some places, which gives much freshness to the wines. Contains Sulphites
