Voï, 'Hymnos' 2022

Jason Ligas comes from a family of winemakers, but not only did he learn from them, he spent time with Jacques Selosse in Champagne. He learnt care, and attention to detail which we now see in these wines from his solo project. A blanc de noir, in that this white wine comes from red grapes. The grapes come from two plots immeresed in permaculture; here we get some serious Greek character, but with a real taste of the French experience. It has aged with some deliberate oxidation in large oak barrels, and is crying out to be paired with food.
