Hahnemühle Sugar cane Watercolor pad

Hahnemühle Sugar Cane watercolor paper is the latest addition to the Hahnemühle Natural Line series. The 290 g/m² paper is made from 70% fast-growing sugar cane fiber, also known as bagasse, which is a by-product of sugar extraction. With 70% sugar cane and 30% cotton, the natural white watercolor paper with warm tones combines the strength of sugar cane fibers with the softness of cotton. The fibers are also derived from plant-based residues from the textile industry. The paper has a cold-pressed surface texture with a wonderful velvety feel. It is ideal for watercolor, gouache and all wet-on-wet techniques. Colors appear brilliant and velvety. The natural properties of sugarcane fibers give the paper high stability and tear resistance, allowing it to absorb large amounts of water and paint without the fibers rising or the paper curling. Colors can be easily dissolved on the surface and lasered again. The paper handles both color transitions and effects such as salt or water droplets as well as fine lines and details with fineliners.
