4 Week Wheel Course

Sometimes one day just isn’t enough to satisfy your clay addiction! All welcome, the 4 week course is suitable for beginners to intermediate or more experienced potters who just want some more wheel time and tips to expand their practice. Join us for 4 x weekly sessions of clay. 2 hours x 4 weekly sessions = 8 hours total Explore wheel throwing, trimming, attaching handles/ feet and finishing techniques to expand your ceramic skills in a relaxed and fun environment. Take your pieces to the next level and enjoy the process of working with clay over time. Choose from our wide range of beautiful studio glazes to colour customise your creations. Your pieces will be ready to collect from the studio in 4-6 weeks or we can arrange postage at postage (choose post option at checkout and shorter your pieces to be posted at end of course) Time: choose a date and time from the drop down menu Address: 55B Ashmore Road, Torquay 3228 VIC Cost: $360 (includes all materials and firing) Instructors: Alicia McVilly What will I learn? Clay preparation for the wheel Techniques for centering clay Throwing basic forms on the wheel Trimming Attaching handles and feet Glazing your pieces What is included? 2 hours of studio time each session x 4 = total 8hours of All materials included 8 students, learn through demos and group tuition Outcomes vary for each student, it’s your pieces will be glazed in food safe glazes you can take home and use What should I bring? Wear comfortable clothes you don't mind getting clay on An apron/ smock or large over-shirt is a good idea Bring an old towel to wipe your hands on IMPORTANT Please choose your course carefully. Due to limited class sizes once you've booked and paid we can only issue a refund if the workshop is cancelled or if your health may put others at risk. Do not come to class if you have any cold or flu symptoms. If you are unable to attend for any reason, you may send a friend in your place.
