Les Héritiers du Comte Lafon Macon-Villages 2022

This is an outstanding expression of Macon-Village, in the south of Burgundy where Chardonnay is predominant. It has a forward, ripe tropical and stone fruit profile, with concentrated, creamy texture. It finishes freshly, balancing out that richness and exuberance. Having produced extraordinary and sought after Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet at his family estate Domaine des Comtes Lafon, Dominique Lafon established this Mâconnais estate in 1999. Buying old vineyard parcels at higher altitudes, he converted them to biodynamic farming. He uses only large format, seasoned oak to age the wines, allowing the fruit and minerality of these Chardonnays to shine.
