DESCRIPTION Introducing the latest addition in AAE’s lineup of precision fletching jig knob upgrades! The OMP fletching knob by AAE was engineered in the footprint of AAE’s ever-popular Bitz knob to have the same accuracy and smooth feel. Designed to complement the OMP Phoenix fletching jig by adding a precise and indexable way to fletch. Whether you need to replace a single vane with accuracy or add indexability when building arrows with glue on nocks the AAE OMP knob is the only fletching knob for the job. With etched timing marks installed on the face for repeatability, the AAE OMP knob stands out as the arrow builders’ choice. Installation instructions- To install your new AAE OMP knob start by loosening the three 1/16” hex screws that allow you to select vane orientation to the point where there is not spring tension on the screw. Then below the three set screws is a 5/32” hex bolt with a locating pin, remove this screw all the way and set in a safe place. Then without removing the old knob rotate the entire fletching jig upside down and remove the old knob slowly as to not lose your indexing balls and springs. Install the new AAE OMP knob and then rotate right side up. Replace the 5/32” hex screw with locating pin. Before tightening all the way ensure your new knob is correctly located so the pin lines up with the slot in the knob so as not to damage it. Return to the 1/16” hex set screw with your selected vane orientation and tighten until you can feel resistance when turning the knob in the jig, you feel the indexing ball lock firmly into the indexing dimples in the knob. Do not overtighten these screws as you will damage the knob. DISCLAIMER Upon installation of your new OMP knob you will notice the length of the receiver face of your AAE OMP knob is 3/8” longer than the factory knob. This length change was made necessary to accommodate our interchangeable nock fork system. This in turn moves the fletching clamp position further forward in between the front arrow cradle fork where clamp interference may occur for offset angles greater than 2-3 degrees on some diameter shafts. In the instance you have this clamp interference on your preferred fletching set up, we recommend modifying the length of the clamp to accommodate your desired arrow build. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your business.
