824735-R Delco distributor cap, used on the G3400 6 cylinder Hercules engines. Hercules used two brands of distributors, Delco and Prestolite. On top of that they used 2 different models/types of Delco distributors products. You’ll be able to determine the brands and styles by looking at your old distributor cap and rotor. Start with the part numbers and then go to the pictures to verify. This part is for a Delco distributor, this particular cap uses clips to hold the cap on. This is for a 6 cylinder engine so it has 7 terminals, 6 plugs and 1 for the coil, 2 areas for the hold down clips (no screws). This cap measures 3.25 inches in diameter at the mating surface area. The sides are slightly angled inward from the bottom of the cap to the top of the cap including the spark plug terminals. Look at the picture of the rotor and make sure yours looks similar to the one in the picture. The rotor isn't part of this purchase, the picture is only here for help identifying the cap only. Part number for the rotor is 52129-B. This will be item 1 in the Hercules drawing.
