Noble Lady | +/- 1680
This Delft tile really takes us back to the 17th century, around 1680, as it shows a well-dressed lady in clothes typical for this time period. A large collar and a richly decorated dress. It might be that the lady depicted is part of a high-ranking family. The tile is decorated with large ‘ox-head’ corner motifs and is overall in satisfactory condition, with a large part of the glaze missing on the right side, a symbol of its long journey.
