Monferrato DOC Bianco, Tanàche
Tanàche is Tenuta Vallone's Monferrato Bianco D.O.C., made from 100% Arneis grapes grown on the hills of Conzano, in the heart of Monferrato Casalese in Piedmont. This UNESCO heritage territory is characterized by marly and calcareous soils that give the wine mineral depth, balance, and great expressive finesse. Arneis is one of the most fascinating native Piedmontese grape varieties, historically linked to the Langhe and Roero, known for its ability to produce elegant, fresh, and refined wines. The name "Arneis", in the Piedmontese dialect, refers to a lively and rebellious character, perfectly interpreted by this white wine that combines aromatic delicacy and gustatory structure. The vineyards are cultivated with careful and non-invasive agricultural techniques, respecting the natural balance of the vine and the territory. Vinification involves a short maceration on the skins followed by fermentation at a controlled temperature, to preserve the varietal typicality of Arneis and enhance its finest and most elegant aromatic component. After fermentation, the wine matures for 17 months in steel, a process that allows it to maintain its varietal freshness while developing greater complexity and gustatory depth. In the glass, it appears brilliant straw yellow with light greenish nuances. The nose reveals fresh aromas of white flowers, pear, and delicate citrus notes. The taste is mineral, savory, and harmonious, supported by a pleasant, balanced acidity that leads to an elegant and persistent finish. A versatile and gastronomic wine, it elegantly accompanies typical Piedmontese appetizers such as raw meat and vitello tonnato, risottos, vegetable pasta dishes, fish, and white meats.
