Concealed Carry Assessment
Location: Pittsburg, CA Time: 8am - 4pm Instructor: Jason Tillberg This intensive, one-day course is designed for responsible armed citizens who want to sharpen the integration of concealed carry tactics with real-world legal considerations governing the use of force. Delivered in a fast-paced 8-hour format, the class combines focused classroom instruction with realistic, decision-driven scenarios to build judgment, tactical skill, and legal awareness under pressure. Through structured classroom segments, role-playing exercises, force-on-force simulations, and detailed debriefs, students will train in: Efficient, concealed presentation and immediate employment of a handgun from everyday carry positions. Advanced threat assessment, situational awareness, and practical de-escalation to prevent escalation whenever possible. Applying justification standards for deadly force. Managing the legal aftermath. Movement to cover/concealment, decision-making under time compression, and stress-inoculation principles. Scenarios will cover a range of realistic situations requiring rapid, defensible decisions on whether and how to respond. Every scenario is followed by a structured debrief emphasizing tactical choices, legal justification, alternative options, and lessons learned. NEEDS/PREREQUISITES: Proficiency with your everyday carry handgun (prior completion of a basic defensive pistol course strongly recommended) Appropriate concealed carry clothing.
