Peanut and Dark Chocolate Florentines, Maison de Florentins
Peanut and Dark Chocolate Florentines, Maison de Florentins Florentins are thought to have been created at the start of the Renaissance by Anne de Bretagne, wife of King Louis XII, and her chef. Her chef has worked in Italy and loved combining chocolate and butter, orange zest and almonds to create chocolate palets. La Maison de Florentins now makes delicious florentines in Nantes, France, where they were first conceived. La Maison de Florentins was established over 55 years ago by Michel Chatillon, an artisan chocolatier. He cooked every batch in a copper saucepan and hand coated them in chocolate, winning many awards and accolades along the way. He retired in 2020 and the company was taken over by Yann Ducarouge, another passionate chocolatier. These crunchy florentines have a macaron base made with peanut butter and generously filled with chopped peanuts, covered in a dark chocolate. Total weight: 100g. Each box contains 12 florentines.
