Remove any old paint, varnish or lacquer with a suitable remover. If the wood needs to be sanded, start with a coarse paper and finish with P120-150 for solid wood doors. Vacuum or wipe door to remove all traces of sawdust and ensure the surface is clean, dry, and smooth. Apply thinly and evenly in the direction of the grain using a brush or microfibre roller. Apply first coat to both sides before installing. Leave to dry for a minimum of 24 hours. Once dry, apply a second coat in the same manner. No priming or sanding between coats is needed. Cleaning: Osmo Wash and Care should be used for general cleaning of treated doors. Caution: Used cloths impregnated with the product must be washed out immediately or stored in an airtight container due to the danger of self-ignition. Keep out of reach of children. Storage: This product can keep for 5 years or more if kept in the closed original can. If it becomes thickened by frost over winter, it should be kept at room temperature for 24 hours before use to allow it to return to the correct consistency.
