"Venus favors the bold." —Ovid The Off-White Lavender Lion’s Paw Sconce is the newest member of the Venus Collection, a whimsical family of handmade fixtures inspired by the Surrealists and natural forms of the sea. Designed with the modern vanity in mind, Model No. 024A presents a slightly more neutral alternative to its Maximalist forebearer, featuring an off-white plaster base and shorter 5" brass column, limiting its projection from the wall whilst ensuring its moisture-safe. Its shade is constructed from a matching pair of sustainably sourced, variegated lavender Lion’s Paw scallop shells, permanently fused open at their natural hinge. Highly adjustable friction swivels at the shade and base allow it to firmly hold a pose. Made-to-order by hand in a numbered, signed edition by artist Christopher Tennant. Mad for scallops?
