Welsh "Ymenyn" Treen Wood & Ironstone Butter Dish, c1920

Available is an unusual carved wood and ironstone butter dish, with the Welsh word for butter around the edge. Decorated stylized leafs. Blue and white chinoiserie butter pat sits inside the wood - the dish is slightly smaller than the opening and sits at a slight angle but is still usable. Back of ironstone dish reads "Ye Olde Willow, Globe Pottery Co, Made in England" with estimated production date 1910-1929. Imported from England.
