Plush Worsted features extra soft 19.5-micron Superwash merino wool yarn. It is a 3 ply, worsted/Aran weight yarn with 181 yards per 100-gram skein. This yarn feels wooly and light and has an incredible drape for a thicker yarn. It’s a perfectly soft yarn and is an exceptional choice for sweaters and accessories. This yarn is excellent for baby knits as it is washable and next to skin soft. As with all of my extra fine merino wool yarn bases you won’t need to worry about feeling itchy in your finished garment! This yarn takes color so well and has a gorgeous hand. This yarn is certified cruelty free. Yarn details: 19.5-micron merino Superwash Merino Wool Yarn Worsted/ Aran Weight, 3 Ply 181 Yards, 100 g Recommended Needle Size: 7-10 This yarn is certified cruelty free. Superwash yarn is technically machine washable in a gentle cycle with like colors, I do however recommend hand washing your knits made with Superwash yarn as the washer will tug and pull at your knits causing them to lose their shape or worse rip. I wash my knits in the sink using lukewarm water and Long Winter Farm Sweater Soap. This soap has lanolin in it which protects the natural fibers. I spot wash any stains and allow my sweater to soak for approximately 30 minutes. Rinse your sweater with cool water if necessary and then gently wring out any extra water, I use my top load washer spin cycle this this, but you can use a towel as well. After the excess water is removed, lay your garment flat to air dry. This fiber was hand dyed by ontheround using professional quality acid dyes. Our yarn is dyed in small batches and no skein will be 100% the same- that's what makes working with hand dyed yarn so fun! It is recommended that you alternate multiple skeins for larger projects to create a cohesive fabric. We do our best to accurately photograph our hand dyed yarns but please note that not all monitors are the same and can vary between devices. We try and photograph our yarn in a variety of ways with different backgrounds to give you the best idea. We offer both knit and crochet color swatch samples in all our hand dyed yarn colorways.
