Luminous light shines upon the water as reflections of silver and mercury shimmer and sparkle in an endless dance across its surface. I sit at the water’s edge, watching this liminal space of movement and time unfold. Ever changing and morphing, light and color dazzle the eyes, holding me transfixed in a mesmerizing state of wonder and awe. I liken it to watching fire swirl and sway in animated patterns of motion. Both of these elements seem to exist in a space between worlds, invoking a sense of calm, mystery, and wonder as we become captivated by their simple yet profound nature. I am left in awe.
