Wolfburn Quarter Cask 2020 (Cancelled) Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 70cl, 46% ABV
Wolfburn distillery is the most northerly on the Scottish mainland, located in the town of Thurso. The original Wolfburn distillery was built in 1821 by William Smith, and was operational for around 30 years before closing. The current Wolfburn distillery was built as close to the site of the original as possible, just 350 metres from its ruins. Distilling began there in January 2013. This was intended to be the distillery's special release for the Highland Whisky Festival in 2020. The event was sadly cancelled due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, as remembered by the large "cancelled" stamp emlazoned on the label.
