Morris Pimpernel Silk Tie
DESIGNER'S NOTES This Fox & Chave silk tie features a floral design in shades of green that represent a reproduction of a wallpaper design by William Morris created in 1876, entitled simply Pimpernel. Pimpernels are a type of primrose that come in a variety of colours from scarlet reds to gentle blues. Belonging to the genus Anagallis, they thrive in various habitats, from damp woodlands to sun-kissed slopes, and despite their small size, possess a quiet elegance, attracting pollinators with their nectar-rich blooms. The design featured in 'Volume 1', a pattern book containing 25 Morris & Co. patterns from 1862-81. COLOURS STYLING A Fox & Chave silk tie looks best tied in a classic Windsor or half-Windsor knot and worn with a collar style of your choosing. Cutaway or spread collars offer the greatest opportunity to display the detail of your unique silk tie design.
